Dorthea "Dot" Richardson, 95, of Dahlgren, died at 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 1996, at Mt. Vernon Care Center in Mt. Vernon. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in the one-room school systems near Dahlgren for several years.
She was born on September 18, 1901, a daughter of Cloyd and Inez (Linvell) Stull. On August 5, 1923, she married Harry V. Richardson, who died on April 22, 1972.
The funeral was at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 1996, at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. Rev. Richard McCormick officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She is survived by one son, Virgil Lee Richardson and wife Doris of Dahlgren; five grandchildren, Michael Richardson of Granell, Kansas, Ronald Lee, Gerald, Curtis and Clyde Richardson, all of Colorado Springs; a sister, Ruby Mitchell of Crossville, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Frank and Fred Stull.
