Rosie Millenbine Thompson of Mcleansboro, died at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 1996, at Franklin County Hospital in Benton. She was a housewife.

Mrs. Thompson was born on April 26, 1904, in White County, a daughter of John and Harriet (Etienne) Lynch. She was married twice, to Henry Millenbine and Burley Thompson, both of whom are deceased. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Trade Industries and the Beaver Creek Quilting Club. She was a member of Smith Chapel Baptist Church.

The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 1996, at Smith Chapel Baptist Church under the direction of Gholson Funeral Home. Rev. Ernie Essary officiated. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by one son, Johnie Millenbine and wife Grace of Springerton; three daughters, Zelma York of McLeansboro, Reba Fosnock of Belleville, Wilma Porter and husband Ace Porter of Watseka, Illinois; two daughter-in-laws, Ruby Millenbine of McLeansboro and Doris Jane Millenbine of Greenup, Illinois; one sister, Hazel Irvin of McLeansboro; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dean Millenbine; two step-sons; Fred and Paul Millenbine, whom she helped raise; two sons-in-law, Cletus York and Irving Fosnock; three brothers, Albert, Bill and Loren Lynch; and one sister, Mary O'Dell.
