Bernice Howe, 81, of Macedonia, died at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 3, 1997, at her residence.
She was a retired waitress from Wood's Cafe and Prime Burger in Watseka, Ill.
She was born March 20, 1908, in Clinton, Ind., a daughter of Robert Clarence and Orlena Grace (Hall) Conner.
Jan. 29, 1929, she married Wayne Howe, who preceded her in death in 1975.
Graveside serviced were Sept. 6, 1997, at Bodie Cemetery in Woodland, Ind.
Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, handled the arrangements.
She is survived by two sons, William Howe and wife Louella of Macedonia and Robert Howe and wife Lois of Macedonia; 10 grandchildren, Rick, Robin, Tim, Rebecca, Michael, Robert, Billy, Claudia and Tracy Howe and Tammie Bixler.
She attended First Christian Church in Watseka.
She moved to the Macedonia area from Watseka 25 years ago.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and, sister and brother.
