Bonnie L. Flannigan, 80, of McLeansboro, died at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, 1997, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker.
She was born on June 20, 1917, in Hamilton County, a daughter of William and Pearl (Tousley) Duncan. On Dec. 10, 1937, in Morganfield, Ky., she married Eual Flannigan, who died on Feb. 17, 1984. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church of McLeansboro and the Missionary Society at the church.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Harre Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Sefried and Rev. Bill Duncan officiated. Burial was in Oddfellows Cemetery in McLeansboro.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Smith and husband Larry of Wayne City; two sons, Ronnie Flannigan and wife Charlotte of Rosville, Ga., Donald G. Flannigan and friend Ronda of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Marjorie Hannel of Franklin, N.C., Martha Reed, Mona Gaines and Janice Burnett of McLeansboro; and two brothers, the Rev. Bill Duncan of Carmi and Bob Duncan of Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother George Duncan and one infant son.
