Guy P. Allardin, 80, of McLeansboro, died at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 1997, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer and used tractor parts dealer.
He was born on March 25, 1917 in Hamilton County, a son of Charles H. and Mary Frances (Dugan) Allardin. On December 9, 1937, he married Ava Knight, who survives. He was a member and deacon of Mt. Olivet General Baptist Church.
The funeral was at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Revs. Harold Hughes and Jim Hutchcraft officiated. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Jewell Endicott and Bertha Hill, both of Carmi; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Hayden Allardin; and two sisters, Bethel Peters and Ruth Absher Hiebert.
