Marion Lee Daily, 77, of McLeansboro, died at 6:12 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 1997, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was a retired engineer with Granite City Steel Company of Granite City, Illinois.
He was born on October 15, 1919, in Hamilton County, the son of William F. and Lura Claire (Standerfer) Daily. He was a member of the Delafield Baptist Church, American Legion Post #106 and VFW Post #1671. He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII.
The funeral was at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 1997 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert Sefried and Rev. Gary Davenport officiated. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Daily is survived by one sister, Lillian McGill of McLeansboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
