Ruth (Miller) Davis, 77, of Walpole, Illinois, died at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 19, 1997, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, Illinois.
Mrs. Davis was born on December 2, 1919, a daughter of Frank and Sarah (Russell) Miller. She married Waldo "Red" Davis, who preceded her in death in 1986. She was a housewife and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
A memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 1997, at Harre Funeral Home. Visitation was from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Cremains were interred at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 1997, at Hebron Cemetery in Walpole. Rev. John Deen officiated.
Mrs. Davis is survived by one son, John Davis and wife Judy of Colorado; one daughter Pat Shafer and husband Glen of St. Joseph, Illinois; one granddaughter, Paula Bradley of Louisville, Texas, and one great-granddaughter, Katherine Bradley of Louisville, Texas.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and a daughter.
Memorials may made to the Katherine Bradley Educational Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
