Carrie F. Faulkner, 80, of McLeansboro, died at 2:32 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 1998, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was a retired supervisor of housekeeping/laundry at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.
She was born on April 24, 1918, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Willie David and Lillie Mae (Hardesty) Faries. On November 27, 1943, she married Howard Faulkner, who died on November 7, 1963. She was a member of Webb's Chapel Methodist Church.
The funeral was at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 1998 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. James Burrell officiated. Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery near McLeansboro.
She is survived by one son, Leonard Faulkner and wife Sylvia of New Lenox, Illinois; 15 nieces and nephews; great-nieces and greatnephews; and two stepgrandchildren, Lennie Wilson of New York, New York, and Ramie Frick of Yorkville, Illinois.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.
