C. Marcella Jines, 83, of Evansville, Indiana, and formerly of Dahlgren, died at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 1998, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was a retired bookkeeper, working for Marvers Brothers Jewelry in Evansville for 27 years.
She was born on January 31, 1915, in East St. Louis, a daughter of William and Maude (Laird) Jines. She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, majoring in education.
The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 1998 at the IOOF Cemetery in Dahlgren. The Rev. Gary Whipple officiated. Gholson Funeral Home of Dahlgren is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Kent of Fairfax, Virginia, Louise Hankins of Tacoma, Washington.; a nephew, Larry Jines of Evansville; a niece, Barbara Suidikas of Fairfax; two great-nephews, Billy Jines of Evansville, John Suidikas of Fairfax; one great-niece, Erin Suidikas of Fairfax; and special friends Bob and Angie Francis of Evansville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bill Jines.
