Dollie Clark, 94, of McLeansboro and formerly of Thompsonville, died at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. She worked at Elders Manufacturing Co. ans was a seamstress for several years locally.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1903, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Alfred and Sarah (Carlisle) Braden. On Jan. 7, 1931, she married James Andrew Clark Sr., who died in 1971. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Thompsonville.
The funeral was at 10 a.m on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia. Rev. John West officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Thompsonville.
She is survived by a son, James Clark of McLeansboro; a grandson, Chad A. Clark of New Orleans, La.; and two sisters, Goldie Parmley and Rose Kirkpatrick, both of McLeansboro.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Harmon, Frank, Elmer and Irvin Braden; and three sisters, Elva Simmons, Anna Frease and Ruby Allene Braden.
