Daisy Hindahl, 96, of McLeansboro, died at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 1998, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center. She was a homemaker.
She was born on June 17, 1901, in Mason City, Illinois, a daughter of Andrew and Myrtle (Wyblie) Willock. On July 25, 1926, in Chicago, she married Diers Hindahl, who died on February 27, 1997. An active member of Trinity Lutheran church in McLeansboro, she was the church organist for 25 years. She was also a member of the Hamilton County Home Extension and the Hamilton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
The funeral was at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 1998, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Pastor Mark Lohnes officiated. Graveside services were at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 1998, at Mason City Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, William "Bill" Hindahl and wife Darlyne of McLeansboro; two granddaughters, Cathy Webb and husband Melvin of Dahlgren, Pat connaway and husband Larry of McLeansboro; and four great-grandchildren, David and Dana Webb and Emily and Natalie Connaway.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Hindahl was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
