Dona Roberta Ahrens, 66, of McLeansboro, died at 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at her home. She worked at Beaco Glass Company in Chicago for 18 years.

She was born on April 22, 1932, in McLean County, a daughter of William Hiram and Edna (Eastman) Doeden. She married Robert Henry Ahrens, who died in 1987.

The body was cremated per Mrs. Ahrens' request. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ahrens is survived by two sons, Dallas E. Mitchell of Phoenix, Arizonia, and Marty Lee Mitchell and wife Roberta of McLeansboro; two daughters, Joyce Nadine Crisotomo and husband Saul of Joliet and Betty Jo Anne Palfrey and husband James of Evansville, Wisconsin; three sisters, Ruth Coleman of Pratts, Virginia, Maybelle Davidson and husband Lyle of Ridott, Illinois, Elizabeth "Betty Lou" Davidson and husband Claude of Richland Center, Wisconsin; sister-in-law Anne Doeden of Lebanon, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James.
