Goldie R. Foley, 90, of McLeansboro, died at 11:35 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 1998, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.

She was born on September 6, 1907, in White County, a daughter of William Calvin and Nancy Katherine (Wicker) Bryant. She attended Enfield Baptist Church before failing health prevented her. She worked for Fannie May Candy Co. in Chicago and for Reinwald Poultry House in Carmi.

The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 1998, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Tim Baker officiated. Burial was at Little Zion Cemetery in White County.

She is survived by two sons, Ernest Eugene Calkin and wife Donna of Huntington Beach California, James Ray Calkin and wife Angela of McLeansboro, Ruby Kaiser and husband Robert of Norris City, Mildred "Midge" baker and husband Derwod of Woodlawn, Judy Kay Dimou and husband Leonidas of Long Beach, California; a half-sister, Hester Lumb of Carmi; a half-brother, Theron Bryant of Carmi; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Roy Perkins, second husband Ernest Edgar Calkin, third husband Vernice Wilbur Foley, and eight brothers and sisters.
