Henry E. Bishop, 67, of Eldorado and formerly of McLeansboro, died at 6:05 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 1998, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. He was a retired chemical worker at OSI in Tuscola.
He was orn on February 10, 1930, in Mt. Vernon, a son of Henry S. and Rista (Butler) Bishop. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
The funeral was at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 1998, at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. The Rev. Merle Fullerton officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in near Dahlgren. Graveside military rites were performed by American Legion Post #106.
He is survived by a son, Henry Bishop Jr. and wife Tawani of Sesser; a daughter, Mary Jo Hutchcraft and husband Russell of McLeansboro; a brother, Ray Bishop of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Hazel Ramsey of Mt. Vernon; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
