James A. Anderson, 51, of McLeansboro, died at 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, August 16, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was a retired accountant.
He was born on August 16, 1947, in McLeansboro, a son of Thomas N. and Mary Belle (Richardson) Anderson. He was a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church in Dahlgren and treasurer of teh Church for many years. He was office manager of Farm Services of Robinson, Illinois, until retirement.
The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 1998, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Eric Williams officiated. Burial was in Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Dahlgren.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his parents, Thomas N. and Mary Belle Anderson of McLeansboro; one brother, Stan E. Anderson and wife Jane of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Nancy J. Anderson of Mt. Vernon; and two nieces, Karen and Katherine Anderson of Memphis, Tennessee.
