Kenneth Gibbs Jr., 58, of DeKalb, Illinois, and formerly of McLeansboro, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, folowing a long illness.
He was born on April 19, 1998, in McLeansboro, a son of Kenneth Dewey and Melva (Mingus) Gibbs. On November 26, 1964, he married Dorris Kay Suddeth in DeKalb. He graduated from Dahlgren High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Private graveside services and burial were held Saturday, March 21, 1998, at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore, Illinois. Arrangements were in charge of Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.
He is survived by his wife Doris; one son, Bradley Gibbs of DeKalb; his mother and stepfather, Melva and Robert Adams of Evansville, Indiana; his father, Kenneth D. Gibbs Sr., of Bentonville, Arkansas; and uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mr. and Mrs. Giles Gibbs and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Mingus.
