Martha Ann Aydt, 71, of Dahlgren, died at 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 1998, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon. She was a housewife.
She was born on October 31, 1926, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane (McKnight) Birke. On October 2, 1946, in Dahigren, she married Leo A. Aydt, who survives. She was a member St. John's Catholic Church in Dahlgren.
The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 1998 at St. John's Catholic Church in Dahlgren. The Rev. Alan Ruppert officiated. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery in Dahlgren. Visitation was at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren, with a prayer service held at 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Aydt is survived by one son, James Aydt and wife Ellen; and three grandchildren, Gregory, Brendan and Stefan Aydt, all of Paris, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
