Monette Braden, 81, of McLeansboro, died at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 1998, at her residence. She was a homemaker.
She was born on August 16, 1917, in Hamilton County, a daughter of John and Flora (Meadows) Taylor. On November 2, 1938, she married Coy Braden, who died on March 12, 1982.
The funeral was at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 1998 at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Randall Ragan officiated. Burial was in Little Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Braden was survived by one son, Richard Braden and wife Linda of McLeansboro; three daughters, Anita Hill and husband Kenneth of Oakley, Illinois, Gayle Braden of McLeansboro and Pat Fuqua of Springerton; five grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; six great-granddaughters; two brothers, Howard Taylor of McLeansboro and Charles Taylor of Jackson, Mississippi; and one sister, Norma Kratz and husband Bob of Evansville, Indiana.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Taylor and sister Hildred Hart.
