Marie D. Cullins, 94, of McLeansboro, died at 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, November 15, 1998, at McLeansboro Health Care Center. She was a reacher and housewife.
She was born on February 12, 1904, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Louis Jess and Susan Jane (Tedford) Daily. On December 21, 1924, she married Herman Howard Cullins in Hamilton County, and he died on November 12, 1970. She was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church near McLeansboro and a charter member of Hamilton County Home Extension Association.
The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 1998 at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. John Lee and Rev. Gary Davenport officiated. Burial was in the Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro.
Mrs. Cullins is survived by one son, Dean Cullins and wife Brenda of Wauchula, Florida; one daughter, Ruth Tyler and husband J. D. of McLeansboro; one grandson, Kent Mitchell and wife Debbie of Mt. Vernon; five granddaughters, Karen Mitchell of Mt. Vernon, Donnelle Short and husband David of Broughton, Pamela Johnson and husband Mark of Trenton, Tennessee, Crystal Donelson and husband Leslie of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Shannyn Robertson and husband Kord of Zolo Springs, Florida; 15 great-grandchildren; two nephews; and two nieces.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter and one sister.
