Mildred L. Acord, 91, of McLeansboro died at 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27. 1998 at White County Hospital in Carmi. She was a housewife.
She was horn on April 26, 1907, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Claud 0. and Lillie (Hill) Gallian. She married Ralph Accord, who died in 1992. She was a member of Concord Methodist Church near McLeansboro.
The funeral was at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 1998, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Billie Duncan officiated. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Mrs. Acord is survived by one son, Joseph Ralph Acord and wife June Ellen of Carmi; three nieces, Verjean Kallenbach of Crossville, Margie Ledbetter and Jean Neal, both of Amarillo, Texas: three greatnieces, Melody Lee of Amarillo, Sherri Evans of Montross, Colorado, Lisa Lemke of Chicago; one grandson, Cliffton Joseph Acord of Carmi; and several cousins, including Star Hinkle of Palm Beach, Florida.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her husband two brothers and one sister.
