Norman H. Harding, 77, of McLeansboro, died at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 1998, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. He was a retered geologist.
He was born on May 11, 1920, in Santa Ana, California, a son of George A. and Valentine (Heil) Harding. He married Venada Meadows, who survives. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of McMinnville Tennessee, and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
The funeral was at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 1998, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro with graveside military rites by American Legion Post #106.
Mr. Harding is survived by his wife Venada; two sons, Richard Harding of Santa Ana, California, and Henry Harding of Foot Hill Ranch, California; one daughter, Vivian Kusik of Santa Ana; one sister, Barbara of Fullerton, California; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
