Olivia O. Frey, 96, McLeansboro, died at 12:40 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 1998, at her home.
She was born on August 6, 1901, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Theodore Elizabeth (Kaufman) Kaufman. On December 26, l922, in Piopolis, she married Joseph Frey, who died in 1948. She was a member of St. Clement's Quilting Club and St. John's Catholic Church in Piopolis. She attended St. Clement's since 1964.
The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 1998 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. Alan Ruppert officiated. Burial was at St. John's in Piopolis.
She is survived by three daughters, ten, Doris Karcher and husband Lawrence of Washington, Illiniois, Bernadine Karcher and husband Leo of McLeansboro, Charlene Rubenacker and husband Lee of Dahlgren; six grandchildren: eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in dead by her parents and a brother, Emil Kaufman.
