Daisy Bayler

Daisy Bayler, 92, of McLeansboro, died at 10:15 p.m., on Friday, August 27, 1999, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was a housewife.

She was born on April 15, 1907, in Clay County, a daughter of George Travis and Ida (Schrugam) Travis. On March 16, 1935, she married Lee Bayler, who died on October 18, 1984. She loved quilting.

The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 1999, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.

Mrs. Bayler is survived by two sons, Harold Bayler and wife Nettie of Thackeray and Marion Bayler and wife Ann of Norris City; two daughters, Ellen Hayler of Thackery and Lois Ann Aydt and husband Don of Belle Prairie; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Leon Travis and wife Revetta of Clay City, Illinois; four sisters, Grace Meier of Manson, Iowa, Esta Levitt of Clay City, Dorothy Bayler and husband John of Fairfield, Edith Evans and husband Hubert of Clay City; and one sister-in-law, Marie Travis of McLeansboro.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one son and one grandchild.
