Evelyn Harrelson, 87, of McLeansboro died at 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 1999, at Manor Care Center in Normal, Illinois. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at the Decatur Garment Company.

She was born on September 5, 1911, in McLeansboro, a daughter of Oscar and Bertha (Finn) Huffstutler. On October 22, 1935, she married Nolan J. Harrelson, who died on July 27, 1997.

The funeral was at 11:00 am. on Thursday, August 19, 1999, at Gholson Funeral Home. The Rev. John Denham officiated. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro.

Mrs. Harrelson is survived by one daughter, Alice Wooten and husband John of Bloomington, Illinois; three grandchildren, Kathy Stoller and husband Richard of Eureka, Illinois, Jeffrey Wooten and wife Jane of Rantoul, Illinois, Christina Tribbett and husband Carl of San Jose, Illinois; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emily and Matthew Stoller, Brittany and Amanda Brewster, Jordan Wooten and Jeremiah Tribbett.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers.
