Ersel Hazel Cluck, 82, of McLeansboro, died at 6:15 p.m. on January 1, 1999, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center. She was a retired nurse (LPN) at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro and Alton State Hospital in Alton.
She was born on July 12, 1916, in Franklin County near Akin, a daughter of Sam and Dora (Johnson) Flannigan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in McLeansboro.
The funeral was at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 1999, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert Sefried and Rev. John Denham officiated. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Mrs. Cluck is survived by two daughters, Judy Mitchell and husband Dr. Donald Mitchell of McLeansboro, Glenda Holeman and husband Donald of Kalkaska, Michigan; two brothers, Wallace Flannigan and wife Laura Belte and Wayne Flannigan and wife Joann, all of McLeansboro; one sister, Vonda Cobb and husband Rick of McLeansboro; six grandchildren, Leslie Donelson and wife Krystal of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Scott Donelson and wife Rhonda of Fair-banks, Alaska, Christine Partain and husband Charles of Evansville, Indiana, Dale Holeman of Traverse City, Michigan, Kelly Holeman of Rapid City, Michigan, Michael Holeman of Kalkaska, Michigan; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Geraldine Pritchett.
