Eileen Helen Coulter, 82, of Flanagan, Illinois, and formerly of McLeansboro, died at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at the Good Samartian Home in Flanagan. She was a cook at McLeansboro Grade School and head cook for 15 years at McLeansboro High School.
She was born on April 1, 1917, in Bogota, Illinois, a daughter of Arthur and Samantha P. (Crouse) Cline. She was educated at Newton Community Grade and High School in Newton, Illinois. On July 27, 1938, she married Kenneth W. Coulter in Macomb. Illinois, and he died on November 1, 1984. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Pontiac, Illinois, and was a former member of the First Christian Church in McLeansboro.
Graveside services were at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 1999, at Oblong Cemetery in Oblong, Illinois. HarrisMartin-Burke Funeral Homes, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Coulter is survived by one daughter. Nancy Walsberg and husband Norman of Pontiac, Illinois; one son. Robert K. Coulter of Grove Oak, Alabama; eight grandchildren, Tamara McKinley husband Greg of Flanagan, Stephen Nelson and wife Joann of Bardstown, Kentucky, Kimberlie Cox and husband Mike of Flanagan, Robert Coulter and wife Donna of Pontiac, Stacey Hall of Pontiac, Martin Walsberg and wife Kathy of Lexington, Illinois, Amy Kinsella and husband Matthew of Towanda, Illinois, and James Walsberg and wife Amanda of Cornell, Illinois; 10 great-grandchildren, Kyla, Brett and Brandy McKinley, Christopher and Kiri Nelson, Alixandrie Cox, Jacob Hall, Hayden and Emma Walsberg and Kelsye Walsberg; two sisters, Janelle Houser of Newton and twin sister, Maxine Masher of Springfield.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Cline.
