Everett Ray Hungate
Born November 12, 1912 - Died April 10, 1999

Everett Ray Hungate, 86, of St. Charles, Missouri, and formerly of Hamilton County, died on Saturday, April 10, 1999, at his home.

He was born November 12, 1912, in Hamilton County, a son of John Wade and Myra Deli (Sullivan) Hungate. He married Helen (Richardson) Hungate, who preceded him in death. He formerly worked at Orient No. #1 Mine in Orient, Illinois. He was a retired carpenter, a member of Carpenters Local 1987, a U.S. Navy veteran, a SO-year member of the American Legion Post #312, a 5O-year member of Benton Masonic Lodge #64 A.F. & A.M., and a member of the First Methodist Church of St. Charles, Missouri.

The funeral was on Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Morton and Johnson Funeral Home in Benton. The Rev. Jack Wolfe officiated. Burial was in the Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton.

Mr. Hungate is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Kolb and husband Ted of St. Peters, Missouri; one brother, Logan Hungate of Bradenton, Florida; a twin sister, Esther Fay Kasky of Benton; one granddaughter, Kern L. Kolb of Franklin, Tennessee; one greatgranddaughter, Emily Kolb of Franklin; two nephews, Dr. James Burrell Aiken of Benton and John E. Kasky of Murphysboro; one greatniece, Jane Ann (Aiken) Buboltz of Naples, Florida; three great-nephews, Michael Kasky and David Kasky of Murphysboro and James G. Aiken of Ashfield, Massachuetts; two great-great nephews, Daniel Buboltz of Naples and Nicholas Aiken of Ashfield.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Janie Aiken (who was married to Burrell Aiken and earlier to Clarence Neal, both now deceased), Laura Beatrice Hungate; and a brother, William Wilson Hungate.
