Florence A. Haas, 90, of McLeansboro, died at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was a housewife.
She was born on August 20, 1908, in Hamilton County. She was the daughter of Anton and Christina (Kaufman) Engel. She married Aloysious G. Haas, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the St. Clement’s Catholic Church in McLeansboro, the NCCW Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Clement’s Quilting Club.
The funeral was at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at St. Clement’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Lawler officiated. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery in Piopolis. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Haas is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
