Harold Raymond Allen, 71, of Branson, Missouri, and formerly of Dahlgren, died at 3:40 p.m. on April 7, 1999, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was a car sales in the Kansas City, Missouri area for 30 years.
He was born on November 12, 1927, in Chicago, a son, of Clarence Allen and Irene (Ripplinger) Allen. He was a member of the VFW of Kansas City and Branson. He served in the U. S. Navy.
The funeral was at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 1999, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Dahlgren. Father Joseph Lawler officiated. Burial was in the St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery in Dahlgren with military graveside services by American Legion Post 106 of McLeansboro. Harre Funeral Home of Dahlgren was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Allen is survived by three daughters, Linda Williams and husband Paul of Mt. Vernon; Gail Ann Lee and husband Rodney of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Dee Hamilton and husband Rick of Kansas City, Missouri; three sons, Dr. David Allen and wife Beth of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Raymond Allen and wife Kathy of Omaha, Nebraska, Bill Allen and wife Christy of Kansas City; one sister, Rietta Spalding and husband Glen of Kimberling, Missouri; two brothers, Charles Allen of Reed Springs, Missouri, and Gene Allen of Alabama; six grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a granddaughter and two sisters.
