John Paul Anderson

John Paul Anderson, 42, of Enfield, died Monday evening, September 6, 1999, at his home.

He was born on June 20, 1957, in McLeansboro, a son of James N. Jr. and Adeline (Turner) Anderson. On October 17, 1980, he married Janice Elaine Jordan, who survives. He was a member of the Enfield Masonic Lodge #677, Elks Lodge #1882 in McLeansboro and Enfield Christian Church. He was an avid horseman and bird hunter.

The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. September 10, 1999, at Enfield Christian Church. Fred Leeds officiated. Burial was in Enfield Cemetery. Masonic rites were conducted at the visitation on Thursday night. Elledge Funeral Home in Enfield was in charge of the arrangements.

Besides his wife, Mr. Anderson is survived by his mother, Adeline of Enfield; two sons, Adam J. and Jonathan Kyle Anderson, both at home; two daughters, Morgan Allison Anderson at home and Sarah L. Abbey Anderson of Kenosha, Wisconsin; four sisters, Rebecca A. Fishers of Atlanta, Georgia, Carolyn S. Barrett of Nashville, Tennessee; Clara Alice Roberts of Casper, Wyoming; and Nancy K. Biggerstaff of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the children’s education fund in care of the funeral home.
