Kathryn June Adamecz, 51, of McLeansboro died Tuesday, November 2, 1999, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. She had cancer.

She had worked as a quality control inspector at Sun Transformer Company and formerly operated McLeansboro Cafe.

She was born in December 29, 1947, in Eldorado to John W. and Dorothy (Biggerstaff) Russell. She married Michael Stephen Adamecz who survives. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in McLeansboro.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Linda D. Mariani of Cambridge and Vicki Nalley of McLeansboro; a stepdaughter, Cindy Gates of Cortland; a son, Vernon “Peanut” Perryman of Joliet; her mother, Dorothy Russell of McLeansboro; four sisters, Bonnie Jean Smith of McLeansboro, Patricia Jones of Mulkeytown, Peggy Sue McGill of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Pamela Smith of Cathedral, California; a brother, John “Butch” Russell of McLeansboro; her grandmother, Jennie Biggerstaff; six grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

A stepson, Stephen Ray Adamecz, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 5, 1999 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Carl Leek officiated. Burial was in Smith Cemetery near Dale.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Russell, a stepson, Stephen Ray Adamecz, and a sister, Judith Russell.
