Marguerite Fisher, 92, of McLeansboro (formerly of Benton) died at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, December 26, 1999 at the Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
Mrs. Fisher was a teacher many years ago at Benton area schools and a Music Teacher in Lincoln, Illinois.
She had attended Millikan University, SIU Carbondale and The Chicago Music College.
She was born on October 22, 1907 in Hamilton County to William and Mabel (Hunt) Waller. On May 16, 1931, in Springfield, Illinois, Marguerite married Homer C. Fisher, who has been deceased since 1986.
Marguerite was a member of the First Christian Church in Benton, Illinois.
According to Mrs. Fisher's wishes, she has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by one son, Joseph Steven (wife Sandy) Fisher of Key Largo, Florida; three grandchildren, Anthony Stephn (wife Brenda) Fisher of Key Largo, Florida, Angela Marie (husband Brian) Ash of Cuba, New York, and Stanley Joseph (wife Sandy) of Alabama; Mrs. Frank Bonan of McLeansboro and one brother, W. H. "Bill" Waller of Cody, New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Crystal.
All arrangements were made by York Funeral Home in Wayne City.
