Opal M. Fitzpatrick, 93, of McLeansboro, died at 9:35 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 1999, at the McLeansboro HealthCare Center. She was a retired bookkeeper.
She was born on August 29, 1905, it McLeansboro, a daughter of James F. and Grace Gertrude (Smith) Fitzpatrick. She was a member of the McLeansboro First Christian Church.
The funeral was at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. August 13, 1999, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Ms. Fitzpatrick is survived by several nieces and nephews, including James Culshaw of Dunlap, Illinois, Robert Culshaw of Peoria and Sandra Badgerow of Morton, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Eldon Fitzpatrick; and two sisters, Ruby Morris and Helen Culshaw.
