Sandra E. “Sandy” Bennett, 53, of McLeansboro died Friday, November. 26, 1999, at her home of cancer.
She worked in the dietary department of Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center.
She was born on November 20, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan, a daughter of George E. and Myrtle E. "Wisser" Duncan. In 1974, she married Nathan Bennett who preceded her in death. She was Protestant by faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Katrina Bennett of McLeansboro; her mother, Myrtle Duncan of Dahlgren; a sister, Gail Bishop of Clewiston, Florida; and two brothers, Danny and Gary Duncan, both of Dahlgren.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 1999, at Gholson Funeral Home McLeansboro Chapel. Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in McLeansboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan.
