Vonda Lee Cobb, 80, of McLeansboro, died at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 28. 1999, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was a homemaker.
She was born on April 4, 1918, a daughter of Samuel and Dora M. (Johnson) Flannigan. She was a member of Hopewell General Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 1999., at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in Hickory Hill Cemetery near Broughton.
She is survived by her husband, Rick H. Cobb; two sons, Jimmy Armes and wife Dorothy of Malta, Illinois, Robbie Lynn and wife Michel of DeKalb, Illinois; four daughters, Brenda Bowman and husband Dwight of McLeanshoro. Jean Hydrick and husband Stanley of Palm Coast, Florida, Janice Hayes and husband Marshell of Malta, Angela F. Lamphear of Beloit, Wisconsin; two brothers, Wallace and Wayne Flannigan, both of McLeansboro; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands. Delmar Armes and Albert Lynn; her parents; and two sisters.
