Alberta Jane Hodges, 76, of Macedonia died at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2000, at her home of congestive heart failure.
She attended McLeansboro Church of God.
She was born November 23, 1923, in Oxley, Missouri to the late Herbert Monroe and Ethel Golden (Martin) Breece. She married Joe C. Hodges on February 7, 1941. He preceded her in death March 28, 2000.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda P. Hodges and Lisa Webb, both of Macedonia; a son, Billie Ray of Gillette, Wyoming; a brother, Robert Breece of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe C., a son, Bennie, and an infant son, Joe Calvin.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 20000 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Bennie Ray Webb officiated. Burial was in Hudson Cemetery in McLeansboro.
