Clinton "Sug" Hart, 54, of McLeansboro died on Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at 7:35 a.m. at his residence.
He was a carpenter.
He was born on September 6, 1945, in Enfield, a son of Hershel Hart and Marie (Prince) Hart. He married Gertrude Louise (Newman) Hart on May 30, 1996 in Dixon, Kentucky and she survives.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Hart of McLeansboro; two daughters, Michelle Carlson and husband Rick of Joliet, and Stephanie Hart of McLeansboro; one step-daughter, Barbara Wheeler and husband Wade of McLeansboro; one step-son, Doug Newman of McLeansboro; five grandchildren, Cory, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Victoria and Maude; one brother, Ronald Hart of McLeansboro and two sisters, Carolyn Lewis and husband Richard of Albion and Ann Wheeler of McLeansboro.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2000 at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. John Gunter officiated. Burial was in the Enfield Cemetery in Enfield.
Mr. Hart was a Baptist by faith.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
