Doris F. Hutchcraft, 78, of Thompsonville and formerly of McLeansboro died at 9:55 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2000, at Franklin Hospital in Benton. She had respiratory problems.
She was born August 15, 1922, in Wayne County to the late Victor and Nellie (Smith) Hall. She married Johnie M. Hutchcraft Dec. 10, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1988.
Mrs. Hutchcraft was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of McLeansboro. She was a member of Hamilton County Live and Learn Club, McLeansboro American Legion Auxillary, and DAV Auxillary at Centralia.
She is survived by a step-mother Goldie Hall of McLeansboro; a son Stanley (Dixie) Hutchcraft of Reed, Kentucky; a daughter Carol (Ronnie) Shelton of Wayne City; a daughter Diane (Mike) Smith of Thompsonville; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers Lloyd, Glen, and Delmar Hall, and a sister Lois McCague.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers (Lloyd, Glen and Delmar Hall), one sister (Lois McCague) and her husband, Johnie M., who died in 1988.
Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2000 at Gholson Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in the veterans section.
