Edna M. Hart, 96, of McLeansboro died Tuesday, January 4, 2000, in Anna, Illinois. She was a homemaker.

She was born on August 15, 1903 in Jerseyville, Illinois, a daughter of Henry and Barbara (Hagen) Krueger. She married James Otha "J.O." Hart on January 16, 1927. She was a member of the Ten Mile Baptist Church.

Surviving are six daughters, Marcella Lance of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Marcia Dee Moore of Carrollton, Georgia, Shirley Lee and Donna Naas, both of McLeansboro, Joyce Ewing of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Linda Trommer of Lincoln; four sons, James Eugene of Olive Branch, Edward R. of Bronte, Texas, the Rev. Richard of Vienna and Larry of Livingston, Montana; 19 grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2000 at Gholson Funeral home. Brother Mark Lee adn Brother Richard Hart officiated. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Otha “J.O.,” an infant daughter, and an infant son, Marvin Lee Hart, one stillborn infant daughter, Barbara Sue Hart, four brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Ten Mile Baptist Church Building Fund in her memory. They will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home or Ten Mile Baptist Church.
