Grace Marie Clark, 93, of DeKalb passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2000 at the Bethany Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in DeKalb. She was born on December 21, 1906 in Hamilton County, Illinois, the daughter of John Micheal and Mary Etta (Jordan) Pierce. She married Marlon Grant Clark on April 14, 1925 at Carmi, Illinois.
Grace was a homemaker and worked at the Elder Shirt Factory in McLeansboro, Illinois. She moved to DeKalb in 1944 and became employed at the Wurlitzer Company, then at General Electric for over 20 years before retiring in 1966. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in DeKalb.
She is survived by two sons; Everett (wife Irene) Clark of Gilberts, Illinois; Randall Dean (wife Donna) Clark of North Vernon, Indiana and one daughter, Dorothy Marie (husband Paul) Wheeler of DeKalb; nine grandchildren; Paulette (husband Jeff) Pinkston, Mark (wife Debi) Wheeler, Brian (wife Diane) Wheeler, Crystal (husband Glen) Varney, Patricia (husband Robert) Waiser, Everett Clark, Jr., Susan (husband Dana) Hopkins, Stephan (husband Mark) Clark and Angela (husband Frank) Archer; seventeen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three infant sons, her eldest son, E. Adrian Clark in 1975; three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 27, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. at Ten Mile Cemetery near McLeansboro. Friends called on Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at the Anderson Funeral Home.
