Helen F. Aydt, 84, of Dahlgren, died at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2000 at her home.

Mrs. Aydt was a homemaker.

She was born on January 1, 1916 in Hamilton County, to Louis Joseph and Catherine Anna (Frey) Stich. She married George "Buck" Aydt on June 26, 1945; he died in 1988.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2000 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Dahlgren. Burial was at St. John's Cemetery in Dahlgren.

Survivors include four daughters, Carol Ann Aydt and Joan Pigg (husband Tim), all of Dahlgren, Mary Morris (husband Steve) of Mt. Vernon and Sharon Schlag (husband Danny) of Belle Rive; eight grandchildren, Rick Pigg, Misty Blades, Megan Pigg, Zachary Pigg, Derek Harlan, Ashley Harlan, Noah Schlag and Nicholas Schlag and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Aydt was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society and St. John's Catholic Church in Dahlgren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
