Lela (Sims) Boyles, 99, of McLeansboro, died Thursday, August 10, 2000, at McLeansboro Health Care Center.
She was a member of Corinth Methodist Church in Macedonia.
She was born on April 12, 1901 in Macedonia, a daughter of John Sims and Minnie (Johnson) Sims. She married Elbert Floyd Boyles and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1991. They were married on January 17, 1920.
Surviving are a daughter, Earlene Fisher of Macedonia; a granddaughter, Brenda Ferguson; two great-granddaughters; and three great-great-granddaughters.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2000 at Harre Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Sefried and Rev. Gene Auxier officiated. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.
