Maud E. Glatz, 96, of Mount Vernon, Illinois died at 11:25 p.m. on September 29, 2000, at Crossroads Community Hospital.
She was employed for several years at the Mount Vernon Garment Company as a seamstress.
Mrs. Glatz was born on May 5, 1904, in Hamilton County to William Alexander and Bertha Alice (Johnson) Mann.
She was married to Joseph E. Glatz in Mount Vernon on June 21, 1952. He died on September 25, 1986.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on October 4, 2000 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Wilbert Iffert officiated. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery in Dahlgren.
Mrs. Glatz is survived by a sister, Jannie C. Lineberry of McLeansboro; two brothers, Guy E. Mann of Three Oaks, Michigan, and Wayne Mann and wife Jane of Fort Pierce, Florida; two step-daughters, Lorene Holland and husband Neil of Mount Vernon and Gertrude Aydt of Linton, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and four stepsons, Ray Glatz, Karl Glatz, Ben Glatz, and Ernest Glatz.
