Pearl A. Farris, 91, of McLeansboro died at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, December 24, 2000, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.
She was born on September 4, 1909 in Williamson County, the daughter of Pascal (Pat) and Musetta (Dial) Hunt. She married George Farris and he died in 1975.
She retired as the cook at the Flannigan Grade School in Hamilton County.
She was a member of the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church near Dale, Illinois.
Surviving are two sisters, Sara I. Yoder of Clear Lake Oaks, California, and Elsie Reed of New Berlin; a grandson, Stephen (wife Bonita) Farris of McLeansboro; and two great-grandchildren, Steven Farris of Edwardsville, Illinois and Kimberly Farris of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Her husband, George, died in 1975.
Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2000 at Gholson Funeral Home. The Rev. John Lee Jr. officiated. Burial was in Enfield Cemetery in Enfield, Illinois.
