Robert Corn
Born April 7, 1927 - Died April 18, 2000

Robert Corn, 73, of Benton, died at 4:16 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2000 at his home.

Mr. Corn was a retired mail carrier and farmer.

He was born on April 7, 1927 in Hamilton County, the son of Frank and Rosa (Lee) Corn. He married the former Eloise Williams on January 30, 1949 and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Eloise Corn, of Macedonia; three sons, Dick Corn and wife Neva of Pinckneyville, Robert Corn and wife Cindy of McLeansboro; one daughter, Jean Winemiller and husband Lewis of McLeansboro; ten grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Durham and husband Matt of Benton; a niece and two nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 20, 2000 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton. Rev. Mark Lee officiated. Burial was in the Brady Cemetery at Akin.

Mr. Corn was a Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Macedonia Masonic Lodge No. 1128 and the Rural Letter Carriers Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
