Bryce Harding Barker, 80, of Concord, formerly of McLeansboro died on May 19, 2001, at Odd Fellow and Rebecak Home.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2001 following the annual Barker Reunion Picnic at Barker Cemetery in Broughton. His nephew, Randall Ragan officiated.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sylvia; two daughters, JoAnn Bunce of Concord, and Carol King of Charleston, South Carolinia; a son, Delmar Barker of Tucson, Arizona; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Olive Ragan of McLeansboro; and a brother, Larry Barker of Dixon.
Mr. Barker was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 335 of Battle Creek for 33 years. He loved painting, carving, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Ellen (Roberts) Barker; two brothers, Reese and Sam; and a sister, Cora Coppedge.
