Clarence Aden Smith, 81, of Broughton died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Marina Health Center in Titusville, Florida, of respiratory arrest.
He was a retired truck driver.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of St. Andew United Methodist Church and Walpole Tuscon Masonic Lodge 630.
Surviving are a daughter, Loretta Duitsmann of Titusville; two sisters, Anna Hale and Zella Gibbs, both of McLeansboro; two grandchildren, Karla Hopkins and Kurt Duitsmann; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Venita.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2001 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Burial was in Digby Hill Cemetery in Dale, Illinois, with military rites.
