Charles Henry Tupper Kane

Charles Henry Tupper Kane, 45, of McLeansboro died Saturday, August 18, 2001, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Illinois 142 in Opdyke.

Mr. Kane was born on June 8, 1956, in Beaucoup to Charles and Betty (Schmidt) Tupper. He married Marcella M. Clark at the Delafield Baptist Church on April 9, 1977; she survives.

He was a machinist for Taylor Brothers Welding in Tamarora.

He was a member of McLeansboro Eagles Lodge 2699 and Antioch Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Marcella M. (Clark) Kane; a son, Trevor Joseph of Dahlgren; his mother, Betty Tupper of McLeansboro; a sister, Judy Cowan of Creve Coeur; four brothers, Dean Tupper of Halls, Tennessee, Don Kane of Florida, Lester Tupper of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Larry Tupper of San Diego, California; several nieces and nephews, including Jolene M. Clark of Macedonia and Heath T. Tupper of Mount Vernon, Illinois, whom he helped raise.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at Blooming Grove Baptist Church near McLeansboro. Rev. Tony Auxier officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
