Evelyn Mae Pittman, 87, of Broughton died at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.

She was born on June 3, 1913 in Evansville, the daughter of Charles A. & Sarah (Strode) Fitch. She married Andrew Pittman on July 15, 1970 and he died in 1978.

She had been a professional manicurist.

She was a member of Broughton Methodist Church.

There are no immediate survivors. Her husband, Andrew, died in 1978.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2001 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. Paul Brown officiated. Burial was in Gholson Cemetery near Broughton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
