Fern Richardson

Fern Richardson, 90, of Dahlgren, died at 11:45 a.m. on October 25, 2001, at Fairfield Skill Care in Fairfield. She died of a heart attack.

She was a homemaker and worked at the Senior Nutrition.

Mrs. Richardson was born on December 28, 1910, in Hamilton County to Pearl Irwin and Belle Williams. She married Neal Richardson on May 5, 1934; he died on February 20, 1973.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2001 at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City. Rev. Gary Whipple officiated. Burial was in Flint Cemetery.

She is survived by a son, Irwin Richardson and wife Judy of Catlin; a daughter, Darlene Kennedy and husband Ron of Wayne City; a brother, Willie Irwin of Dahlgren; a sister, Ruth Glatz of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Richardson was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Dahlgren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
